We are proud of our customer service and the fact that using the latest research and technology we can create products that customers expect.

No secrets

We would like to briefly introduce the ingredients that you will find in our new product.

Asianoil Asian

basilbasil, holy basil or tulsi are the names of a plant that has been known to us for a long time, known for its healing properties. The high nutritional value of tulsi oil, the multitude of antioxidants and the distinct aromas and aromas of terpenes have a holistic effect on the entire body.

Eugenol

Eugenol is a terpene contained, among others, in in clove oil. Cloves are commonly used to flavor food or tea, and are even used topically to treat toothache. Recent studies on eugenol have shown that it may also be effective in treating gastrointestinal and respiratory ailments.

Linalool

This is a naturally occurring terpene found in many flowers and herbs, including mint, basil, cinnamon, rosewood and citrus. Linalool is most commonly used for its distinctive and pleasant smell, but it also exhibits therapeutic properties. Research suggests it may have anti-inflammatory and anti-depressant effects.

Cyneol

Cyneol, also known as eucalyptol, is mainly extracted from eucalyptus leaves, but studies show that many aromatic plants such as wormwood, rosemary, sage, and cannabis sativa also contain it. Cyneol is known to alleviate the symptoms of colds and flu, so it is readily used as an ingredient in cough syrups, lozenges and nasal sprays

CBD Extract

Of course, there would be no new Nordic Oil product without our CBD extract. The extract used in our Immunity drops contains non-psychoactive cannabinoids from the cannabis plant. The amount of THC does not exceed 0.05%. Find out more about how we extract our CBD here

How do I use these drops and is it right for me?

The dosing of our Immunity Drops is slightly different from the way you would use our classic CBD oils. Immunity Drops should be taken dissolved in liquid. Just put five drops in a glass of water or tea, let them dissolve, and then drink it. Five drops is the daily dose we suggest. You can take it once, or spread the number of drops 2-3 times.

If you want to boost your immune system with CBD and many scientifically proven terpenes, then this product is for you. Our Immunity Drops are safe for adult consumption, but pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid (as with all CBD products).

Finally,

Immunity Drops are the latest addition to the ever-expanding portfolio of Nordic Oil’s products. The product is rich in naturally occurring terpenes, antioxidants and CBD extract, however we dare not say that this is the only way to stay healthy this winter (it would be uncharacteristically arrogant for us), but it is certainly a big favor you can do for your body and mind.

WHY ARE CBD PRODUCTS EXPENSIVE?

Do you think CBD products are too expensive? What price are you willing to pay for CBD? Does the quality of the product reflect its price?

The market for CBD products is overwhelmed with products at various price points. The law of supply and demand for a given product determines the price, but it is also worth paying attention to other factors. In this article, we will discuss the factors that influence the price – from the plantation to the moment the oil reaches you.

What factors influence the price?

Based on the US cannabis market, we have compiled a list of aspects to consider when talking about the price of CBD products.

of cannabis cultivation and their processing associated with obtaining permits. This is not only a time-consuming process, but also an expensive one. And it’s not just about administrative costs, such as application fees or obtaining a license to grow and manufacture products, as is the case in the US. The costs associated with preparing a field, production site or warehouse to meet the required food processing standards are also high. What amounts are we talking about? It depends on the country of the manufacturer.

  • CROP COSTS

Factors suchfactors as soil type, drainage and water retention are the most importantin obtaining a good harvest. When it comes to temperature, cannabis plants prefer a temperature that is close to that of the human body. The climate must not be too dry, not too humid.

Thanks to modern technology, the cultivation of hemp can be more environmentally friendly and sustainable, but at the same time expensive. Outdoor cultivation requires proper soil preparation (drainage) and the preparation of an action plan that protects the crops from attacks by pests and weeds. Many producers are moving away from the use of pesticides and herbicides in favor of organic, biological and even mechanical methods of fighting weeds and pests, which are unfortunately more expensive than the products available on the market. Weather conditions should also be taken into account because they affect the quantity and quality of crops, and thus translate into production costs. Indoor cultivation is also not the cheapest, because you need to invest in equipment needed to carry it out, such aslighting LED. The complexity of growing indoors comes with costs that affect the price of CBD products.

  • LABOR COSTS

According to the 2016 report, hemp harvest covers over 30% of the total production costs. This is due to the fact that soil preparation, planting, irrigation, pruning and harvesting are just some of the various, very labor-intensive tasks. In this case, no agricultural machinery is used, but human hands.

Often, on a local farm, neighbors and friends get involved in several stages of cultivation as part of neighborly help, but there are also producers-growers who are forced to hire people to harvest, whether it’s permanent or seasonal workers. Labor and transport costs are also included in the price of the raw material that producers pay when they do not grow the hemp themselves.

  • EXTRACTION COSTS

There are various methods of extracting CBD oil, including extraction with alcohol, supercritical carbon dioxide or cold pressing. The choice of the extraction process adds value to production, but it also comes with costs. For CO2 extraction you need specialized equipment, the operation of which requires skills and specialist knowledge. These two facts make carbon dioxide extraction the most expensive method on the market used by manufacturers. In this case, the price goes hand in hand with the quality of the produced extract and production efficiency, not to mention the safety of people involved in production, users and the environment. Producers who decide to extract with ethanol may and do not have to invest in expensive equipment, but good-quality, safe alcohol, which is used in large amounts, because it is not as efficient a solvent as CO2, costs its money.

  • TESTS AND ANALYZES The

distribution of health related products strongly involves third party safety and cleanliness testing, which is typically performed by laboratories following standard regulatory procedures for product quality approval. And while such tests are not required for hemp supplements, many manufacturers choose to do so to ensure the best quality products. The related costs depend on the scope of the research carried out. Analysis to confirm the presence of two cannabinoids and their acidic forms will be cheaper than analyzing eight or ten cannabinoids.

  • SHIPPING COSTS

In the case of manufacturers, this is the mail-order sale of orders placed in online stores. And when shopping online, we unfortunately have our requirements: the parcel is to be delivered as soon as possible, no matter where it is sent from, the packaging is to protect the content from damage, it would also be nice to receive some promotional materials, e.g. a discount coupon or a free sample, short waiting time to the consultant’s response. And these expectations are met by most manufacturers, which unfortunately involves additional costs, which are included in the price of the product.

What are the prices like in Poland?

The Polish market is filled with products from various price ranges. Prices range from several dozen to several hundred zlotys depending on the concentration of cannabinoids in the product.

The cultivation of hemp and production is not the cheapest and requires a number of permits. Each stage of production carries costs, and the suspiciously low price compared to similar products from other brands should give you food for thought: what is behind such a low price? Does the manufacturer cut costs by saving on ingredients, their quality or analysis?

So what manufacturer should you choose?

Should it be a native producer that deals with the production of CBD oil from seeding to product packaging and shipping? Or maybe a foreign producer that buys high-quality, certified hemp for its production? Or maybe a producer who buys CBD oils from another manufacturer and sells them under his own brand, the so-called white label? Who to trust? The decision is yours, but don’t base your choice on price alone.

PRIYA MISHRA – THE FIRST ACTIVIST FIGHTING ABOUT CANNABIS

Is an entrepreneur and activist in the cannabis industry diagnosed with Stage III lymph node tuberculosis. Hemp saved her life. Here is her story …

Priya Mishra is the first Indian cannabis activist to lie on her deathbed until cannabis saved her life. She was diagnosed with stage 3 tuberculosis of the lymph nodes, and her prescription medications made her situation worse. In 4 months, the cannabis did for her what the drugs could not do … it brought her back to life. Doctors said that if she survived, it would take her years to recover.

In our interview with Priya Mishra, we will discuss the cannabis industry in India and its startup Hempvati.

How did you hear about hemp?

Priya: Friends who have used and the internet. Since my tuberculosis medication was not helping my pain, one day a friend of mine just handed me a joint so I could at least sleep. That night I slept soundly and the pain passed, then I realized that this plant was more useful to me than the medicine I was taking, and then there was no looking back.

Tell me a little more about your business and what prompted you to start your business?

Priya: Hempvati is a foundation founded in India. We educate, advise and consult patients, authorities and professionals in the field of medical marijuana and cannabis at various levels. It was brought into being only to spread knowledge about this plant that saved my life.

Have you tried educating your family about CBD? How has your family reacted to your work in the cannabis industry?

Priya: It took me a whole year to open up to my family about cannabis use and activism. Now I wonder why I waited so long because they were surprisingly very helpful to me. I had full support when they actually understood the plant and the plot with enough scientific evidence.

What’s your favorite strain?

Priya: Mysore mango and Malana Hash

Which products do you choose? Are you being treated for specific ailments?

Priya: I use CBD capsules and smoke or vape flowers. I cured myself of lymph node tuberculosis only with hemp and Satvik food (organic, Ayurvedic fruit and vegetable diet). At that time, I only had access to flowers, which is why I either smoked or made myself oil. I currently have back problems and PCOS, for which I continue to take cannabis because no other medication is helping me.

How do people view cannabis in India?

Priya: Cannabis is rooted in Indian culture, history, medicine and everything else. Most Himalayan states know that cannabis is used for many purposes, including medical, cloth, forage, even as vegetables.

At what stage is cannabis legalization in India?

Priya: We’ve been working really hard over the last few years to make marijuana legal in several states and also get approval from the central government. This works to our advantage as it is an important part of the ancient Indian medical system in Ayurveda. I hope that full medical legalization will take place soon. Currently, in India, CBD is prescription-only and THC is only used for palliative care.

Given the history of cannabis in Hindu mythology, why is it taking so long to legalize it in India?

Priya: Centrally, it’s legal, but individual states have to make a decision (same as in the US). Personally, I have worked with 5 states for 4 years to reform cannabis laws, and luckily it worked. It was, however, arduous work. More interested people and greater public awareness will speed up the process.

Where do you see cannabis in India in 5 years?

Priya: Hopefully in 5 years, India will become the world leader in the cannabis economy. India alone has over 500 native seeds, making it a country with the maximum amount of strains! Also, since our culture has been using hemp since the beginning of time, we should be leaders in the cannabis industry. The fact that many places in India still use cannabis for industrial, medical and even religious purposes will only help to broaden awareness. Education and awareness is crucial.

Water-soluble CBD – a fact or a myth?

Have you ever wondered why, in addition to the cannabinoids, there is also carrier oil in CBD oil? And why is it often suggested to consume CBD oil with or after a meal that is high in fat? In answering these two questions, we will refer to basic chemical knowledge, namely two concepts: ‚lipophilicity‚ and ‚hydrophobicity’

Cannabinoids such as CBD and THC are highly lipophilic and hydrophobic substances. This means that cannabinoids tend to dissolve in fats and oils and are also molecules that repel water from each other. Therefore, CBD oils are based on other vegetable oils, such as hemp seed oil, black cumin oil, coconut oil or olive oil, and it is recommended to take CBD in the company of products such as nuts, avocado, butter, fish, meats or yoghurts.

What if CBD could be water-soluble?

Nanotechnology in the cannabis industry

Every now and then we hear about technological innovations that may revolutionize the current industry, including the hemp industry. We have already written about CBD transporting liposomes, the time has come for nanoemulsions.

Nanoemulsions are nano-sized emulsions that are produced to improve the delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients. These are thermodynamically stable isotropic systems in which two immiscible liquids are mixed into one phase with the aid of an emulsifying agent, i.e. a surfactant and a co-surfactant.

Using ultrasound technology, lipophilic compounds such as CBD and THC can mix with water. Due to the nanoemulsification process, CBD absorption can be significantly increased and its bioavailability after oral administration can increase. This technology opens the door to cannabis processing companies. Beer with a high CBD content, CBD water, coffee or other drinks can become a valuable product – a combination of pleasant and useful.

Known Methods for Delivering CBD into the Bloodstream

There are several methods for taking cannabinoids, and the choice depends mainly on the preferences and expectations of the consumer. The most frequently chosen method is the delivery of CBD through the mucosa in the form of CBD oil drops administered under the tongue. In this way, the active substances enter the bloodstream relatively quickly through the mucous membranes. Smoking or vaporizing CBD herbs is equally popular, as is the use of CBD oils specially prepared for e-cigarettes. This method is very effective as CBD enters the blood through the lungs. Many people also choose capsules, mainly for the convenience of use and neutral taste, or add CBD oil to their food. The downside of taking CBD in the form of food is the long waiting time for the effects that we can feel only after an hour, but they last the longest, up to 8 hours. The effects will appear most quickly when you smoke or vaporize CBD, because it takes just a few seconds, but they don’t last long. It is optimal to take CBD oil sublingually in terms of time, as the effects can be seen after just 15 minutes and can last up to 6 hours.

Most people who use CBD choose a particular method because of the speed of the effects and the length of time the effects last. It is also worth remembering about another important aspect – bioavailability.

Bioavailability – what is it?

This basic term used in pharmacology refers to the extent to which an active ingredient will eventually be absorbed and used by the body. One hundred percent bioavailability is provided only by substances administered intravenously or transdermally, in other cases, only a fraction of the substance will go into the general bloodstream, the rest will be excreted without affecting our body in any particular way.

Depending on the chosen method, the bioavailability of CBD is as follows:

  • inhalation: 10-35%
  • absorption through the mucous membranes: 6-20%
  • oral route: 8-15%

As we can see, the bioavailability of CBD does not make you feel off your feet. Even after smoking or vaporizing, a significant part of the active substance does not get into the blood. If the use of nanotechnology helps to increase the bioavailability of CBD, why not use the tools offered by science?

Technological progress, continuous research and development in the field of science bring positive news for the cannabis industry. There are hemp products on the market that use another innovative technology, liposomes, which increase the bioavailability of CBD in capsules by up to three times, but we look forward to widely available hemp products using nanoemulsions.

What do you think these products will be? Leave your answer in the comment.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup of hemp seed flowers

Additionally, youneed:

  • strainer
  • Measuring cup
  • glass jar to store the
  • grinder

CBD OIL AND OIL: PERFECT DRESSING

It’s no secret that CBD oils alsoother oils. They are natural, liquid vegetable oils, which are an ideal diluting agent, improving the absorption and bioavailability of the product. Such a carrier oil can be hemp seed oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil or olive oil. And although in Nordic Oil we mainly use hemp oil or black cumin oil, we would like to devote this article to olive oil.

A useful but controversial product.

Olives occupy a prestigious position in Mediterranean culture. The history of olives goes back to biblical references, and the olives themselves symbolize victory and peace since ancient Greece.

Rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, olives go well with salads, sandwiches, pizzas and all kinds of recipes. Olive oil lowers blood cholesterol, protects the heart, has antibacterial properties, reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes and helps in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. A study found 2017 healththat scientists showed that the consumption of extra virgin olive oil protects memory and learning, and reduces the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

Research shows that olive trees protect biodiversity, improve soil and act as a barrier to desertification. Therefore, olive cultivation has a positive impact on the environment. Scientists, however, report the need to improve agricultural practices for the binding of plant trees. A 2017 study found that olive oil producers produce nearly 8 billion gallons of waste water and solid residues each year. When olives are processed to produce oil, they are crushed and mixed with water in mills, after the olive oil is separated from the mixture, dirty water with residues is thrown away, often it seeps into rivers or bodies of water, increasing pollution. The study therefore noted the need to develop an environmentally friendly process that could transform these residues into green biofuel and safe water for use in agriculture.

Bring CBD Oil to Your Kitchen

secret formula for our beauty and health is in what we eat. Olive oil is often a favorite choice when it comes to cooking because of its inherent flavor and powerful health benefits. The taste of CBD oil, on the other hand, is characterized by an earthy, nutty or grassy flavor. People who do not like the characteristic flavor of CBD oil can combine CBD oil with olive oil. This combination of the benefits of two products is perfect as a dressing for salads, soups or other recipes. You can find the recipe for the perfect CBD dressing here.

In conclusion,

olive oil and the combination of CBD oil are a healthy choice to complement your daily diet. CBD combined with olive oil can be used in many ways in cooking, and it can also be applied topically to the skin. If you want to know more about the properties of CBD, takelook ahere.

HEMP AND CHICKEN

Water, earth, fire and air – these four elements of nature have endowed us with endless gifts that we have managed to tame over time. But have we learned to fully appreciate and use them? Today we want to draw our attention to two gifts that mother nature has prepared for us – hemp and turmeric.

in a few words

CannabisYou may be wondering what exactly the author means when using the word ‚hemp’, especially when reading articles in English. The English word ‚cannabis’, just like ours, can mean hemp, illegal marijuana or the cannabis plant taken as a whole as a family. No wonder, the classification and nomenclature is quite confusing. Marijuana and hemp, i.e. Cannabis Indica and Cannabis Sativa, respectively, are plant species of the genus Cannabis, which in turn belongs to the cannabis family (Cannabaceae).

Cannabis Indica is widely used for recreational and medicinal purposes. Cannabis Sativa, in addition to its medicinal properties, can also be used in industry, for example in the clothing industry.

Both species owe their healing properties to the chemical compounds found in the leaves and flowers. Much attention is paid to two of them in particular: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). Independent researchers and medical specialists are enthusiastic about peer-reviewed studies, double-blind studies, and clinical trials that prove the therapeutic potential of cannabis. Hemp extracts come in various forms such as oils, e-liquids, ointments and topical creams, and can be sold as long as the THC content is below 0.2%.

About the properties of turmeric

The second ingredient that we would like to draw your attention to today is turmeric and its chemical compound called curcumin. Classified as a spice, turmeric from time immemorial occupied prime place in gastronomy (food, giving a distinctive yellow color), cosmetics (soaps and creams), medicine or religion.

Due tocurcumin its properties,is used for many ailments. This is, for example, a handy home remedy for treating wounds, bruises or insect bites. Curcumin has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and supports wound healing. Research suggests that curcumin may help treat oxidative and inflammatory conditions, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia.

The magic combination

While curcumin is widely known for its many health benefits, it is often combined with several other substances to realize its full potential. Such a substance is piperine, the active ingredient of black pepper, which increases the bioavailability of curcumin by 2,000%, in addition, it has many beneficial properties: it helps fight depression, improves concentration, has analgesic and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

How about combining the properties of hemp, turmeric and pepper in one product?

FOOD SAFETY IN THE HEMP INDUSTRY

Our blog posts tell a lot about the different properties of CBD and its functional use in everyday life. This time, on the occasion of World Food SafetyDay in June, we decided to raise the topic of food safety.

„Food safety is everyone’s business,” this year’s theme aptly applies to everyone in the world, and concerns safety when growing, processing, storing, cooking and consuming food.

How important is it to stay safe?

The statistics kept by the World Health Organization are alarming:

  • Food-borne diseases affect many people around the world, especially children under the age of 5 and people belonging to low-income social groups.
  • 1 in 10 people worldwide suffer from eating contaminated food, and 420,000 people die each year.
  • 40% of the burden of foodborne diseases is transmitted by children under the age of 5, with 125,000 deaths annually.
  • Diarrheal diseases are the most common diseases resulting from the consumption of contaminated food, making 550 million people sick and 230,000 deaths each year.

We are now witnessing how diseases can deadly hamper normal life, trade, development and burden health systems. Ensuring food safety is essential from the moment it is produced until it reaches the hands of the consumer.

New, emerging bacteria and viruses provoke us to introspect all the channels through which the food we eat reaches us. As a result, the entire supply chain is currently undergoing changes.

It is an incentive for all of us, as individuals, families, communities, organizations, producers, businesses and governments, to come together and inspire everyone to prevent food-related risks at every stage of the process.

Responsible producers of food, including dietary supplements, control the course of each production stage, analyzing and identifying potential threats. Many of them implement a HACCP system that helps them keep everything under control.

How safe is our CBD oil?

We would like to take this opportunity to bring you closer to our entire CBD oil production process.

Our CBD oil is produced from organically sourced hemp grown in the European Union. The mature plants are harvested and processed. The terpenes, which are aromatic and therapeutic compounds, are retained from the flowers through a proprietary steam distillation process, and then it’s time for supercritical carbon dioxide extraction.

CO₂ extraction gives you full control over the entire extraction process. Thanks to the unique settings of temperature, pressure and insulation, we obtain exactly the expected compounds.

The extraction process produces a raw CBD paste which is then refined and enriched with the accumulated terpenes and carrier oil. The end result is a strong concentrate of high purity and quality.

At Nordic Oil, we transform our values into high-quality, safe and standard products. The oils we sell are subjected to a delicate filtration process, which allows for obtaining an oil with a clean, golden color, free from by-products such as waxes, fats, chlorophyll or impurities. At the same time, the carbon dioxide extraction process maintains a high concentration of CBD and aromatic terpenes. This gives our CBD oil a well-balanced, holistic effect that retains the healing properties of the hemp plant.

All Nordic Oil products are labeled and packaged according to industry standards that include instructions for use and storage.

You can safely purchase any of our products online without requiring a prescription. In case you need any clarification, you can contact our customer service who will be able to provide you with additional information.

Hemp in the kitchen

Hemp in the kitchen

In this post you will learn how to easily add hemp oil, hemp butter or hemp seeds to your diet.

In addition to the CBD extract or drinking infusion of leaves, there is a whole range of possibilities in which we can introduce hemp into our diet 😉

When we are aware of what wonderful plants cannabis is, it is worth taking advantage of the full spectrum of its properties.

Hemp oil

It is made from unroasted hemp seeds (how we make our oil ;). It has a beautiful dark green color, as it is not refined and is cold pressed. The composition includes a lot of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids (the same for which fish are known). The taste has a nutty note.

Such oil must be stored in the refrigerator and consumed within a few weeks from the moment of pressing.

Wehemp oil do not heat- we use it for cold dishes. As an ingredient in salad dressing, dips or sandwich spreads.

We can easily replace it with oil, but remember that its nutty aftertaste will be noticeable. To make it compose in a salad, we can add roasted walnuts or hazelnuts to it.

Due to its nutty flavor, it can also be added to sweet recipes (but those that do not require baking), e.g. date truffles.

Hemp butter

Can be prepared with any fat. Activate the dried inflorescences by baking them, and then cook them in fat over low heat for several hours. Our version of the butter is coconut oil.

We can use it as a replacement for sandwich butter, an addition to morning porridge or an ingredient for hemp cookies.

Hemp seeds.

We can divide them into roasted / unroasted and shelled / unshelled. In addition to the high content of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, they are rich in protein (the best of all plants in the world, because it absorbs quickly and does not cause flatulence) and fiber (soluble and insoluble). They are also a source of vitamin E as well as magnesium, phosphorus, zinc and iron.

Shelled hemp seeds are perfect for making hemp milk – just mix water (0.5 cups of seeds to 1.5 cups of water and a teaspoon of honey). When we add a smaller amount of water and a teaspoon of lemon juice, we get a thick cream that can successfully replace cream or yogurt in recipes.

Unshelled seeds are perfect as a sprinkle for salads, smoothies, oatmeal or as a crunchy addition to cookies or granola.

They even work themselves as a snack. When we first tried them, we ate the entire packet in one day! For you, we advise you to be more moderate 😉
